Viktualienmarkt is a famous permanent food market in Munich which was first opened in 1807. In 140 stalls and shops, visitors can buy fresh flowers, meat, fish, cheese, vegetables, wine and much more. The traditional Maypole in the center of the market shows old crafts and trades.Viktualienmarkt is a popular meeting point for locals as well as tourists to buy food and delicacies, enjoy a quick lunch or a glass of wine and a nice chat.
