Tempel Synagogue
The Tempel Synagogue is a synagogue in Kraków, Poland, in the Kazimierz district. Not only is a place of worship, but also a big center of Jewish culture, which hosts numerous concerts and meetings, especially during the Festival season.Unfortunately, the synagogue was ruined during World War II by the German Nazis, who used the building as ammunition storage area. After the war, it was used again for prayers until 1985. From 1995 until 2000 the Temple Synagogue was restored to its previous beauty. Today it’s still an active synagogue and opened to visitors, even though formal prayers are held only a few times a year.
