Nyhavn

Nyhavn is a 17th-century waterfront district located in Copenhagen. It is the most famous street in Copenhagen and is lined with brightly painted townhouse which displays its authentic 17th century style architecture. Nyhavn is split into two sides: the Northern side or "Sunny Side" with all of the colorful buildings and the Southern side or "Shady Side". There are numerous historical wooden ships that can be seen lining the canal on each side which create the special martime atmosphere . At the end of Nyhavn you will find the great Memorial Anchor which is a monument for those veterans who sacrified their lives during World War II. Nyhavn is a hotspot for locals and tourists as bars, resturants and pubs can be found along the canal for a great spot to get a drink or grab something to eat. There's a reason they call it "The Longest Bar in Scandinanvia" as some bars and restaurants are open 24 hours a day. Take a visit to this popular district and go on a boat tour or stroll along the canal to take in the beauty of Copenhagen.
