Buda Castle
The imposing Buda Castle sits on the Castle Hill in Budapest offering views over the beautiful Danube river. It once served as a residence of the Hungarian kings but today the castle complex houses the Hungarian National Gallery, The Budapest History Museum and the Széchenyi National Library. The Castle District and the castle itself belong to the World Heritage sights of Budapest. Visitors can enjoy the surrounding area by walking or join a guided tour to take a closer look at the castle.
